Professional Packing

Essential Packing Materials

Everything you need for a secure wrap

Cartons

Assorted sizes, clean, and with lids. Store them flat to save space and keep weight under 50 lbs.

Paper

Use unprinted newsprint. Old newspapers leave ink stains that never thoroughly dry.

Sealing Tape

Heavy-duty 2-inch plastic tape is best for securing boxes and prevent accidental opening.

Markers

Felt pens are ideal for marking contents, fragility, and destination rooms on all sides.

Smart Packing Strategy

Room-by-Room

Don't mix kitchen items with living room items. It eliminates confusion during the unpacking process.

Weight Logic

Heavy items (books) = Small box (40 lbs). Light items (blankets) = Large box (60 lbs).

Wardrobes & Drawers

Leave non-breakable items in drawers. Use wardrobe cartons for suitsβ€”we provide these for free!

Safety Rules

No flammables, gasoline, or explosives. Safety is our primary concern during transit.

Kitchen Items Masterclass

🍽️ Flatware & Plates

Protect your table with a blanket. Wrap plates individually using the diagonal fold method. Seal bundles with tape.

THE GOLDEN RULE: Always stand plates ON EDGE in cartons. Never lay them flat!

🍷 Glassware & Stemware

Roll diagonally across paper. Nest 3 or 4 inexpensive glasses together. Use liquor cartons with dividers for the safest ride.

Note: Use wadded paper to fill spaces and reduce vibration.

πŸ”Œ Small Appliances

Pack toasters, blenders, and coffee makers together in one box. Wrap each individually with 2-3 sheets of paper for protection.

🍳 Pots, Pans & Spices

Nest 3 pans together with paper lining. Tape all spice cans to prevent leaks. Wrap canister sets individually.

Specialty Item Handling

πŸ’‘ Lamps & Shades

Remove bulbs and nest shades together. Never use wadded paper inside shadesβ€”it can crush them. Mark "FRAGILE - LAMP SHADES."

πŸ–ΌοΈ Pictures & Mirrors

Small pictures go in boxes on edge. Large ones (over 24"x36") will be pad-wrapped by South Peak Movers on site.

πŸ› οΈ Tools & Misc

Bundle long brooms tightly. Tool boxes should stay locked or tools wrapped individually in cushioned cartons.
